Javier Ignacio Álvarez Arteaga brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record to Orlando City Soccer School Poinciana as the Senior Head Coach Coordinator. With over three decades in professional soccer as a player, head coach, and technical director, Javier has led top-tier teams across Colombia, Panama, and Ecuador. His leadership includes championship titles, qualifications to prestigious tournament including: 

  • South American U-18 Championship (1997) – Head Coach of Colombia's U-18 National Team in Pedro Juan Caballero, Paraguay.
  • South American U-20 Championship (1999) – Colombia National Delegate in Tandil, Argentina.
  • South American U-18 Tournament (1999) – Colombia National Delegate in Rivera, Uruguay.
  • Nissan South American Cup Qualification (2005-2006) – Led Deportivo Independiente Medellín to continental competition.
  • Colombian Primera División Championship (2009) – Head Coach of Once Caldas, winning the league title and qualifying for the Copa Libertadores.

Javier’s commitment to player development and fostering confidence has empowered youth and professionals alike to achieve their full potential. With advanced coaching credentials, including FIFA Pro Licenses, and international training at clubs like Real Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen, he brings a modern, holistic approach to soccer coaching.
